Roof Rack for 2022 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Cab Roof and A.R.E. Camper Shell

Question:

I own a 2022 F150 super crew cab with short bed A.R.E. camper shell with A.R.E. factory installed tracks installed from A.R.E. I want both cross bars for the shellalready has tracks and cross bars for the naked cab area. My research on your website suggests 54inch bars for the cap, and 59inch bars for the 4 door crew naked area. Will that look weird? Ideally I really only want/need one cross bar attached to the naked cab, and one cross bar attached on the A.R.E. cap. Here is what i came up with: Y02-480B-NT •54inch CrossbarsA.R.E. Cap w/ factory installed tracks RR43HG •59inch Crossbars for naked roof Please help.

Hi Tim; if you put one crossbar on the roof and one on the truck cap it might look a little funny but it is doable. Also, you will probably end up with bars at different heights since one is attaching to the tracks with different legs compared to the clamp on style on the roof of your cab.

The Rhino-Rack Sportz Roof Rack for Naked Roofs # RR43HG will work on your F-150 and the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for Factory Tracks # Y02-480B-NT will fit the A.R.E truck cap tracks. It is also worth noting that these are two different types of crossbars.

If you want a single crossbar on the camper shell you can use the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbar # RRVA137B and then the Rhino-Rack Quick Mount Legs # RRRLT600H. For the cab of the truck you have to get the full fit kit # DK427, then the legs # RRRLKVAH, and crossbar # RR33AG.

Hey Tim, how did your setup with the Rhino-Rack crossbars on the F-150 and A.R.E. cap turn out? Did the height difference between the roof and the cap work out the way you wanted? Your update could make it easier for others planning a similar mix of bars.

@RobinH Hello, Robin...I still haven't pulled the trigger on the truck cap with factory rails roof rack yet. They are expensive and I was hoping to catch a Black Friday/holiday sale. The ones you recommended were 54" or 59" wide, I dont remember. I think I want the 65" wide ones. Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for Factory Tracks - 2 Vortex Aero Crossbars - Black - 65" Long Y02-500B-NT I found the bare naked ones on Facebook market place for a great deal. Those are 59" The truck cap ones are a bit harder to find. I currently have them in my basket. I really was hoping for a better price though. Thank you for yoyr help and follow up. Tim Weinert
