My F350 Only Has Gooseneck Ball In Bed - How To Tow 5th Wheel Trailer With Gooseneck Ball?

Published 10/29/2025

Question:

My new F-350 only came with a gooseneck ball in the bed. Is there a safe way to pull my fifth-wheel camper without adding one of those big hitches? I can't move one of those or even find a place to store it!! help me. lol. thanks!

Yes Troy, absolutely. Instead of lugging around a 200+ pound 5th-wheel hitch, you can replace your trailer’s pin box with a gooseneck-style version that bolts right up. If your trailer has the common Lippert 1621 pin box, the MORryde GooseTech # MR97MV is built exactly for that. It connects directly to your truck's gooseneck ball, uses a rubber shear-spring to cushion bumps, and gives you a smoother ride than a rigid 5th-wheel setup.

You’ll free up your bed when unhitched and save your back from wrestling that old hitch.

What trailer are you towing? I can confirm your pin-box model for you or you can check out the attached help article. If you find you don't have the Lippert 1621 pin box then let me know in a comment on this page!
