Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this DMAX rubber hydraulic brake line. Now, this 36 inch long brake line is most often used to connect your actuator to the rest of your hydraulic system. The flexible rubber construction is gonna be perfect for foldaway trailer tongues, disc brakes, and torsion axles. This is designed for any three sixteenths of an inch brake line.
The thread size is three eighths of an inch by 24, and these brass male inverted flare fittings on both ends are gonna make a better seal than steel fittings because as you probably know, brass is more pliable, helping to prevent leaks, splits, and corrosion. And the one eighth of an engine or diameter is going to allow for smooth brake fluid flow, and this rubber hose does meet the Department of Transportation and SAE standards for safety. I think you may have received either a damaged one (which you did mention) or a defective one, Andrew. I just grabbed two of these at random from our warehouse and test fit them in three different parts and they fit fine. If you would like, I can get a reshipment moving for you so we can get you one that I know fits. And out of curiosity, what are you putting this in? The brake, the actuator, or an adapter/t-fitting?
