Recommended Flat Towing Parts for a 2025 Chevy Trax Activ

I have a 2025 Chevy Trax Activ I plan to flat tow. I like the curt wiring harness curt part number 52109 but saw they were updating the harness for the 2025. Has the been done and is that the correct part for my vehicle

Hey Darin. I checked with Curt and their 52109 wiring harness is the correct one for your 2025 Chevy Trax Activ. This is going to give you a 4-way connection so your RV can control your Trax's lighting functions.
I saw you have already purchased the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BLU99HR and the Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar item # BX7420. You're still going to need the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect item # RM-766 and a supplemental braking system.
Seeing as how you have a brand new vehicle, I recommend using a permanently installed system like the Curt RVi Series Shadow 2 Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI94FR. It will work with RV's that have standard hydraulic brakes and air braking systems. You would also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit item # RM88DQ if you go this route.
If you wanted to use a portable system, the Curt RVi Series 4 Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # RVI44FR is our newest option. It's pretty easy to setup and breakdown. The only permanently installed part is going to be the breakaway cable, which is common amongst all of the braking systems. You would need to add the 12 Volt Outlet Kit item # RM-9332 since your battery has to be disconnected while flat towing.
