Will Dent on Shock of Curt Air Ride Pin Box Affect Ride Quality

shock on my curt air ride has a small dent in it will that hurt the operation

Hey Chet, it's hard to say for sure without seeing the dent but it's very possible the dent wouldn't affect anything but it also is possible it will prevent the shock from functioning. If I were you I would just keep an eye on it and see if the performance changes or if you see fluid start to seep out of it. We have a replacement with the part # LC177223.

Where did the dent come from?

Hey Chet, did you notice any change in how your Curt Air Ride pin box performs since spotting that dent in the shock? It’d be great to know if the ride quality or fluid loss gave you any clues. Your update could help others watching for the same issue.

@JamesonCwell its a small dent I bought this used not sure how this shouge act I have no instructions on it doesnt seem to be alot of difference then my old pin box
