Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at the Shocker Air Equalizer for your weight distribution hitch. Now this hitch is designed to make towing a whole lot smoother, a whole lot more controlled, especially if you're hauling something heavy. This is going to help absorb road shock and cut down on trailer sway, so you're not gonna be feeling every bump or fighting to keep things steady while you're out on the highway. A big part of that comfort comes from its built-in air ride system. This uses this air spring bag along with four bump cushions that are going to help absorb and redirect road shock, giving you a noticeably smoother ride.
This also features an air equalizer, with both height and weight adjustment built in, so you're gonna be able to fine tune it based on your trailer. You simply add or release air, and you can do that right here, depending on the load. And so it does come with the cap here and a Schrader valve. So it's gonna be very easy to adapt, whether you're towing light or fully loaded. So this is built for serious towing as well.
This can handle trailers up to 12,000 pounds with a tongue weight up to 1200 pounds. So this is gonna be a solid choice for those larger campers or equipment trailers. One thing people really seem to like about this is its adjustability. This is gonna give you up to about five inches of rise, or four inches of drop. So you're gonna be able to dial in the right height and keep your trailer level.
That's gonna make a big difference in how everything tows. On your screen, I'm just showing you what this is going to look like. It does come in two pieces, so you're gonna have that adjustable channel mount there to where you can move this unit up and down to get that height adjustment that you're looking for. So this is made from heavy-duty steel. It's built to last.
It's not something you're gonna have to worry about replacing any time soon. Again, installation's gonna be pretty straightforward. This is gonna work with most major weight distribution hitch heads. It's gonna fit any standard two-inch receiver. I do want to point out though, that Shocker does say that this will not work with Andersen chain style or B&W Continuum weight distribution hitches.
