Question:

I just installed my invisibrake on my 2019 jeep grand cherokee and the pump comes on anytime my brake pedal is depressed engine running or off without being connected to my coach. This is the 3rd jeep I have installed this system on. A jeep tj, jeep jl, and now my wk and the 1st time I have had this issue. The Curt plug and play harness I installed says there are diodes to prevent feedback yet I dont see any diodes or diode box like the hopkins had on my last jeep. Do I need to add diodes?

Hey Ed, I think you might be on to something with adding diodes to prevent backfeeding. To test this I would try unplugging your Curt plug and play tow bar wiring harness and see if the problem persists or goes away. Let me know what you find and we can go from there. If you need to add a diode we have them with the part # RM-690.

Hey Ed, what happened after you unplugged the Curt wiring harness—did the Invisibrake pump still come on? Once you tested that, it’d be great to hear if adding the diode solved the feedback issue. Your update could really help others working on a similar Jeep setup.
