Question:
After releasing the brakes the invisible brake braking senson light and audible warning system, remains active. This is after approximately three years of great service. Could this be just a ground issue or something else? Appreciate your help. Thanks.

If the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700 brake signal alert was functioning correctly until just recently then the issue is most likely going to be some sort of wiring damage/wear. The ground would be a great place to start since a faulty ground is a very common wiring issue. You'll want to check all connections to ensure that they are secure and that there's no corrosion or damage to the wiring.
I recommend also taking a look at your pulley and bracket to make sure that the cable didn't pop up on the wheel and is having a hard time releasing the brake pedal causing the alert to stay on longer.
Let me know what you find and we can keep troubleshooting and find a solution.
