Will the Curt Hitch C89RV Block the Liftgate Sensor on a 2024 Honda Prologue?

Hello, I’m looking to install a hitch on my 2024 Honda Prologue. I have the Touring model. I have a question about C89RV. Does it interfere with the kick tailgate open function the vehicle has? Also, can you provide installation instructions?

No, it does not Josh. We have had no issues with the Curt Hitch item # C89RV blocking the lift gate sensor when installed on a 2024 Honda Prologue. What typically happens if the sensor does get blocked it would only around the 2" receiver so you would have to kick to the left and right of it. You don't want to be kicking right around the 2" receiver anyways.

Hey Josh, how did the Curt hitch work out on your Honda Prologue? Did the liftgate sensor still function smoothly after the install? Your update could make it easier for the next person adding a hitch to the same model.
