2024 Cadillac Lyriq L3 What is the difference between this hitch and the C89RV hitch. Both claim to fit the Lyriq. Thank you very much.

Hey Mike, this is a really great question but if I were you I would just go with whichever has the best current price as they are virtually identical in terms of practical use and install. The difference is they're two different CURT hitch designs (13599 vs. 13617) that both now fit the Lyriq, with identical ratings and very similar construction. C62ZV is the Lyriq-specific older design; C89RV is the newer multi-application GM EV-platform design. So basically they found a way to modify the design so that it fits more vehicles but still have the old part number available as well.

Hey Mike, I spent months researching the receiver hitch for my Acura ZDX and NO ONE was offering one. After some research, and a leap of faith I ordered the one that fit the Lyriq. It fit perfectly! Installation took me less than an hour. Now for full disclosure, this was not the first hitch I installed in my driveway with regular hand tools. It was the 5th. (2 Acuras, MDX & RDX, a lexus RX 350 & a Caddy XT5.) Hope this helps!

I can't tell you the difference between the hitches, but I noticed that the older hitch was only available for the Lyriq. My guess is it fits the Lyriq slightly better where the other hitch is more universal to all the GM EV vehicles on the same platform (including Blazer).
