Appropriate Blue Ox SwayPro System for 2025 Starcraft Autumn Ridge

Question:
Good morning, I am purchasing a bumper pull travel trailer and I need assistance in choosing the correct sway control unit. The camper is a Starcraft 2025 Autumn Ridge that is 30’ bumper to tongue. The dry hitch weight is 875 lbs and the GVWR is 8850 lbs. My truck is a 2024 Ford F250 with the Tremor package. The sway control that I’m looking at on your sight is the Blue Ox SwayPro BLU54TR. Is this the correct unit or do you recommend another one? Thank you

Hi Kipp; the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control for 2-1/2" Hitch # BLU54TR will work well with this setup. The tongue weight range for this system is 1,000-1,500 lbs. With batteries and propane added to the trailer tongue you will be sitting right around 1,000 lbs with nothing else in the trailer.
Once you get the rest of the trailer loaded I expect you will fall somewhere in the middle of the range. Since tongue weight is typically 10-15% of the loaded trailer weight, you're also covered at the high end of the GVWR which would be 1,328 lbs of tongue weight so that is perfect.
