Question:
I noticed this one says 15K max. Is that rating the same whether I use it as a pintle or as a ball mount?

Good question, Hank. On the Weigh Safe Pintle Hitch for 2" hitches (with 2" and 2-5/16" balls) # WS82ER, the gross trailer weight rating is 15,000 lbs either way - pintle or ball. The tongue weight max is 1,500 lbs. You don’t lose capacity when switching between coupler styles.
What type of trailer and coupler do you have?
