Hey Brian, thanks for the information! You did your homework well!

The etrailer Hitch item # e62TR is definitely going to work with your 2016 Jeep Cherokee. It's custom fit and has a 2" receiver.

The Curt item # C56208 is designed to fit the 2016 Jeep Cherokee's without the factory tow package. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Jeep's wiring harness behind the rear tail lights. It'll give you a 4-way connector capable of controlling your trailer or accessories lighting functions.

The Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat item # 18144 is going to work great with the Curt item # C56208. However, unless you want to drill directly into your hitch or trim you'll also need the No-Drill Mount for Electrical Mounting Bracket item # 18144. This mount has a band clamp that will secure the hitch bracket's and 4-way to the crosstube of the item # e62TR.

I've linked a couple of installation videos below so you can see how to get the hitch and wiring installed. I also attached a photo so you can see the finished product.

What kind of trailer do you? You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

Hey Brian, how did the hitch and wiring setup go on your Jeep Cherokee? Did the Curt harness and etrailer hitch fit together the way you expected? Your update could make it easier for others working on the same setup.
