Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2020 Jeep Cherokee

Question:

Gonna buy a class III trailer hitch for my 2020 Jeep Cherokee. Easy to find on your page. However, I am having trouble finding the correct wiring kit. Please help.

Hey Gary, for trailer wiring for your 2020 Jeep Cherokee I would recommend the Tekonsha kit part # 118779 because of how easy it is to install and how reliable the converter box is. Sorry it was difficult to find! Which hitch are you going with?

@Gary The etrailer hitch part # e73ZR is correct fit for your 2020 Jeep Cherokee and a great option. To end up with a 7-way on your Cherokee you would want to start with the # 118779 and then convert it to a 7-way with the part # 37185 as there isn't a direct 7-way kit that fits your Cherokee. You said you didn't want electric though which I am not totally sure what you meant by that though.

@Gary The # 37185 is just a 4-way to 7-way adapter and does not come with anything for activating trailer brakes aside from a wire you don't have to connect to anything.
