Looking For New Landing Gear For 2007 Keystone Cougar 29BHS

Updated 09/25/2025 | Published 08/27/2025

Question:

Our landing gear broke on us over the weekend. We own a 2007 Keystone Cougar Fifth Wheel 29BHS. The previous companys landing gear is Venture Mfg. Comp. Do you sell a universal landing gear or another brand that would fit? Thanks!

Hello Mandy, thanks for reaching out. Typically for replacing Venture brand landing gear on a trailer the Stromberg Carlson landing gear set part # LG-183708 is all that's needed and normally bolts right up. This fits the standard bracket dimensions which are 15-1/2 inch inside-to-inside and 17-1/2 inch outside-to-outside spacing between the weld stops.

I am not sure exactly what model of Venture landing gear you have, so I do suggest you measure and confirm your landing gear uses the same bracket dimensions. As long as those match, you can be sure the # LG-183708 will work for you. It will work with your existing motor, assuming that still works

Hey Mandy, did you have a chance to measure your landing gear brackets to see if they match the dimensions I mentioned? I'm eager to know if the Stromberg Carlson landing gear set worked out for your Keystone Cougar, as it could help others in a similar situation.
