Question:
Hi, I am looking to replace the landing gear on my 2008 weekend warrior fifth wheel trailer. It now has a single motor with a square tube shaft between the two legs. The gears are stripping and I would like to upgrade. Do you offer anything for this application? What info do you need from me to determine if you can help? Thank you for your time. Bob Panella

Hey Bob,
Landing gear components aren't all interchangeable between brands so I'd need to know the exact model to find replacement parts for your current system. If you're just wanting to replace the landing gear as a whole then I'll need to know the the spacing for the weld stops.
For example, the Landing Gear Set w/ Handle # RVLG-8HDL you were looking at has a 15-1/2" inside and 17-1/2" outside measurement, which is a pretty common spacing. If your spacing differs then you'll have to cut the old brackets off from the trailer frame and weld on new ones to match the spacing of whichever system you choose.
The # RVLG-8HDL is designed to be extended and retracted using the included handle or by adding on a motor # LC142178 and switch kit # LG-145236. Let me know what you think and we can discuss some other options as well.

Hi Alvin, thanks for the reply. The trailer is a CL 4005 weekend warrior. I just dug a little deeper into it and I think my 2 landing gear are ok, the gears are stripping on the gear box and the cross shaft is worn out at each leg. It’s a venture mfg gear box and motor. Can I get a new gear box, motor and cross shaft to use with the existing landing legs? Thanks for your time and help. Bob Panella
