2015 Toyota Tundra TorkLift Tie-Downs Rubbing Against Cab Mounts

Updated 08/28/2025 | Published 08/25/2025

Question:

Camping World installed TorkLift tie downs on my 2015 Toyota Tundra for our Lance truck camper. After a few weeks creeking and clunky sounds develpoed without the camper on the truck. Our Toyota service department discovered that the front tie downs are rubbing against the cab mounts . I dont see the cab mounts in your 2016 Tundra video. Do you think that they may have installed the wrong tie downs? Id take it back to Camping World but thats a 6-7 hour drive.

Hey Mark, thanks for reaching out!

I see that you already ordered the TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs # TLT2307 for your 2015 Toyota Tundra. What did you end up finding out?

Hi Jon. Can you check with TorkLift to see if there are any issues with the front tie down mounts rubbing the cab mounts on a 2015 Toyota Tundra CrewMax? The master mechanic at our local Toyota service department discover the issue which is causing irritating noises while traveling, even without the truck camper. Thanks, Mark

@MarkD I just reached out to them and they got back with me asking for pictures of whats going on as they haven't heard of this before. If you send photos in a reply to the email you got from me I'd be more than happy to pass it along for you!
