Question:

I have a Blue Ox BLU73UR hitch installed. Can you show me what 4-pole trailer plug mounts I can install on it?

Hi Trevor!

I wasn't sure if you meant a 4-flat wiring harness or the bracket to mount a 4-flat (or both), so I included options for both! : P

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56040
Curt Mounting Bracket for 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C42CR

The wiring bracket on the # BLU73UR hitch you ordered for your 2022 Subaru Crosstrek (non Hybrid) measured a smidge over 1.5 inches center to center on the mounting holes (1.58 inches to be exact). This is fairly standard with the 4-flat brackets we carry.

What are you using the hitch for?

Yes I meant a 4-flat connector with a bracket to connect to the piece I have on the hitch. The plan is mostly for my bicycle mount or renting a trailer for plywood.

Actually, I just thought about it, while I do have the place for the mount, I am not often planning on using a trailer, so I could connect the plug straight to the trailer. The mount would be more useful if I ran the harness down below and attached it to be more "permanent". So the best solution for now would just be the harness, I think.

@Trevor If you will predominantly using the hitch for a bike rack, I would hold off on the bracket for now as well. With the # C56040 wiring harness storing in the cargo area of your Crosstrek when not in use, which is how most people leave it, it will be more protected than if you mounted it on the bracket.
