Hello Gerry, thanks for reaching out. The correct weight distribution (WD) hitch will depend on the loaded tongue weight of your travel trailer. Each WD hitch has a range of tongue weights it will work with, and ideally you want your trailers tongue weight to fall right in the middle of this range.

According to the online specs I found, the 2025 Brinkley Z air 297 has a GVWR of 13,495 lbs and a hitch weight of 989 lbs. I do suggest you weight your trailer and confirm the loaded tongue weight.

What I recommend for that is the following:

- Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 12,000 lbs GTW, 1,200 lbs TW # EQ37120ET

This will work on trailers with a tongue weight between 800 and 1,200 lbs, and your trailers tongue weight will be right within that range. This means you will get effective ride leveling and sway control. The Equal-i-zer systems are especially nice and are known for being top quality and providing noticeable results.

The video I linked will show you a more in-depth look at the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System.

How often will you be towing your camper? Just a few times a year or are you a full timer?

@GerryS Yes the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System # BW78FR would work for your trailer also. This is great for weight distribution and ride leveling but it basically does nothing to control sway.

@Gerry Yes a spring bar system like the Equalizer really would do a lot more to control the sway. Just need to pinpoint your exact loaded tongue weight. As far as flat towing your 2024 Ram 2500, here are the parts I recommend: - Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-522204-5 - RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000 lbs # RM-643 - Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord # RM-15267 - Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 - Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional # SM99251 Also, you may need a drop hitch like part # BLU28XR to level out your tow bar. If the tow bar is more than 3" out of level, a drop hitch will be required. If the drop hitch is used, safety cable extensions # RM-910648-10 will also be required. Will you be installing all this yourself? Or are you taking it somewhere? Let me know if you have any questions on any of this.

@Gerry Don't apologize, Gerry. I am here to help. Its my job and I enjoy it. My goal is to engage with and help our customers. I literally want you to comment on here with questions haha. Anyway, if you are sure the loaded tongue weight will be over 1,300, yes, you should absolutely go with the 16K part # EQ90-00-1600. This is for 1,200-1,600 lbs of tongue weight and it sounds like you will be right there. Keep in mind the frame brackets for this WD hitch must be placed between 27" and 32" back from the center of the coupler ball. I do suggest you measure and make sure there are no obstructions on this part of the A-frame. Once you verify that you can be sure it will work. The shank has a 3" drop which covers most truck and trailer combinations as long as your truck isn't lifted.
