U-Bolt Kit Recommendation for a Sears X-Cargo Model 28
Updated 11/17/2025 | Published 04/05/2016 >
Question:
I have an X-cargo Model 28-7271 and am looking for the U-Bolt kit to attach it to my roof rack. The lady at Thule said 05603 was the one I needed, but she never asked for my x-cargo model number and I just want to be completely sure before I order the part that it will in fact be what I am looking for.

For your Sears box the rep you spoke with at Thule is correct. You would need the part # TH05603.

I have a sears X carrier just got a 2012 Dodge Journey with roof rails, I do not have cross bars. Will I need to buy cross bars to attach it to the roof? Or can I attach it to the current rails?
