Question:
What is the front to rear center dimension for the crossbars for attachment of this box?my Subaru outback 2024 has fixed bars from the factory that are approximately 31 inches on Center. Can cross bar clamps on the box be moved with a drill and tools as I have done on my other box?

Hey Dave, the Yakima SkyBox NX Skinny Rooftop Cargo Box # Y93QD that you referenced can fit a crossbar spread of 24" - 42" so it would work well for your spread that is 31 inches on center. There would be no need to redrill new mounting holes.

Thank you. Just to be clear, so we’re talking about the same thing. I thought the 24 to 42 inch range was for going across the car from side to side along the bars. My built-in cross bars are separated by about 31 inches going front to rear; that’s the spread I’m talking about. One of the bars can be adjusted a little bit they are otherwise fixed. So my question pertains to how much adjustment there is going front to rear, and whether I can move the clamps if my cross bars are not within that range.
