Brake Controller Install Harness for P3 for 2024 Ford Ranger

Question:
Hello, I just bought a Tekonsha P3 controller with the 3036-P harness from Tekonsha for my 2024 Ford Ranger. Your site indicates that this harness will not fit my truck, but online research indicates that it should fit up perfectly comparing both expected wiring diagrams and photos of both wired connectors Ford and Tekonsha on Ford forums. Can you tell me why eTrailer thinks this wont work? Also, once I have done the fitup, I am happy to share photos or any other details with eTrailer if that will help to inform other users.

Hey Ken, we've heard that the wiring might be present but the circuits aren't complete and it's been kind of a confusing headache since. Looks like you bought the harness and controller and it shipped a couple days ago so if it works for you please comment below how it went as hopefully we can get a little more info on your Ranger.

Hi Jameson, I was able to install the Tekonsha P3 brake controller in my 2024 Ford Ranger Lariat. This truck has the basic tow package. There is not an integral brake controller, but it has the tow hitch and an integrated / connectorized harness located near the driver's left foot. I did not have to remove any interior panels to perform this install, and I was able to use the 303600 harness and Tekonsha P3 connector as-is from Tekonsha. If you can provide me a method for posting or sending you a file, I created a PDF with images, including a schematic of the connectors and harnessing. I am happy to share that with you if it would be helpful. - Ken
