Is this made in the USA?

Yes it is, Carter! Demco builds these actuators in the USA with high-quality components. It’s one of the reasons their brake systems are so popular with commercial and marine trailers.
I see you were looking at the Demco DA86 Brake Actuator # DM78CV which is rated for 8,600lbs and is for drum brakes. It's coated in zinc which is nice for boat trailers or other trailers often exposed to less than ideal conditions.
A nice feature is the built-in solenoid lockout that stops the brakes from engaging when reversing. There's also a manual lockout in case you ever need it, which is good for heavy duty trailers that need a backup option, no pun intended.
