Question:
I am looking for a hitch receiver for a 2022 Honda CRV EX-L Hybrid. Most of your receivers adversely affect the function of the automatic tailgate. This receiver part TMT34FR does not mention anything about affecting the automatic tailgate. When searching a few days ago your website described this receiver as a fit for the Hybrid, but now it does not mention anything about affecting the automatic tailgate function. Will this hitch receiver fit a 2022 Honda CRV EX-L Hybrid without adversely affecting the automatic tailgate function?

Hi Al; any hitch you install on your 2022 Honda CR-V EX-L Hybrid will impact the kick sensor, including the # TMT34FR and the # C13397 you ordered. However, I don't expect the functionality to be lost.
The receiver sits in a spot where it will almost certainly block part of the sensor. Placing your foot to either side of the receiver is typically enough for it to work. You wouldn't want to be kicking your foot under the middle with a receiver there anyway. It is a slight adjustment and often something unavoidable if you want a hitch on most vehicles with those sensors.
What do you plan on using the hitch for?

Hey Al, did you get a chance to try out the hitch on your Honda CR-V Hybrid? I'm curious if placing your foot to the side of the receiver worked for the tailgate sensor. Let me know how it goes, as it could help others with a similar setup!
