Can Furrion Chill Cube Use Same Lower Vent Assembly as Furrion Chill HE
Updated 08/15/2025 | Published 07/19/2025 >
Question:
Back in 2020 i Converted both of my ACs from a Dometic to a FurrionFR96SR with the added wire conversion adapter with the existing Dometic thermostat. Unfortunately one of the Furrion ACs is starting to go outEvaporator motor. Looking at this chill cube. Since i already have the adapter for the Dometic thermostat would this be a plug and play. I do have a multizone ducted system.

Hey Timothy, the Furrion Chill Cube units like the part # LC94DX will not work with the adapter and lower vent assembly you have now because they recently had to switch refrigerants which means everything had to be changed including the lower vent assembly. Beyond that the Chill Cube is a unique unit that we have been told is not compatible with anything else aside from components made specifically for it. That includes thermostats and controllers like what you asked about as well so you'd have to replace everything which will be the case for any unit you go with since the refrigerant change was a requirement for all brands.
Is the one you are replacing a ducted or non-ducted unit?
