Looking For Fold Out RV Step With Handrail

Updated 07/16/2025 | Published 07/05/2025

Question:

I am interested in fold out steps, but I need help in choosing which ones. My wife is mobility challenged and needs closer steps than the standard 10 rise. I also require a handrail, but have not seen any advertised. The distance to the ground from the door jamb is 27. Thank you.

Hello Bill, thanks for reaching out. The MORryde StepAbove fold out steps will be a great option for this. It sounds like you will need a two step like part # MR26RR. This will work with the 27" entry height and the steps have a 9" rise. There is a hand rail that can be added.

This will fit doorways between 23-3/4" - 26-1/4" wide, so please confirm your doorway width for me so we can be sure this will fit. There may be an option for a smaller drop depending on your doorway width.

Reply on this page and let me know and I am happy to look into it and get back to you.

Thanks Jesse.. I haven't been able to get to the trailer to re-measure the opening yet. My wife would like to see a picture of the hand rail. Would it be possible to install one on each side?

@Bill Hello Bill. The hand rail is part # MR54BR if you want to take a closer look at it we have good pictures and videos on the part page. This mounts to the side wall of the camper next to the door so there would be no way to add two.
