Looking For Complete Flat Tow Setup For 2013 Jeep Wrangler With D-Ring Bumper

I have a 2013 Tiffin Gas Motorhome and a 2013 jeep wrangler sport manual trans. I have a Roadmaster Eagle 8000 and an aftermarket bumper with 1 D rings what do you recommend for my complete flat towing set up?

Hello James, I can definitely help with that. Roadmaster does offer a D-ring adapter that will work with the Eagle 8000 tow bar. Here are the parts I recommend for flat towing your 2013 Wrangler Sport:
- Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts to Roadmaster Motor Home Mount Tow Bars - 1" Thick # RM-035-1
- Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord # RM-15267
- Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes # RM-156-75
- Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional # SM99251
You will need a pair of safety cables like part # RM-643 if you don't have them already.
You may need a drop hitch like part # BLU28XR to compensate for any height differences between the base plate arms and the hitch on your RV. Any difference of more than 3" will require a drop hitch. Also note if the drop hitch is used, a safety cable extension # RM-910648-10 will be needed.
Also, please confirm your bumper is rated for flat towing. Some aftermarket D-ring bumpers are only for recovery and are not rated for towing.
The charge line is recommended since the brake system pulls a small amount of power from the battery.

Thanks for the great answer and quick response. So my next question is what are all of my options for locks on the Roadmaster 8000 at the RV receiver, the D rings on the jeep bumper and the adapters on the arms of the roadmaster? thanks Jim
