Today we're going to be taking a look at the road master lock set. It's going to include your hitch lock, as well as two quick disconnect padlocks. The system is designed to lock your towing system to your vehicle at the base plates, using the padlocks, and locks the towing system in the hitch with the included hitch lock. Here, with the quick disconnect padlocks, these are going to provide visible deterrent to theft and tampering once they're installed. People are going to see these and they're not going to try and mess with your set up. They will lock for increased security.
They're also going to guard against accidental release. Really nice, solid construction. They're going to feature a hardened steel shackle, as well as a solid brass tumbler and steel body. If we take a measurement of the lock body real quick, going this direction, that's going to give us a measurement of about one and a half inches. The thickness is going to measure about three quarters of an inch, and then the height of the body measuring from this point here to this point here, that's going to give us a measurement of about one and thirteen sixteenths of an inch. The shackle diameter is going to give us a diameter of about a quarter of an inch.
These are very easy to use. Each padlock is going to come with a set of keys. They are keyed alike so one key will unlock either padlock. Place it in there, give it a little turn, that spring loaded design is going to pop that shackle out of the lock body. Place that around the locking area, so this will replace your quick disconnect pins.
Then simply just push back down the body until it engages. All four of these keys are going to be keyed alike, so they're exactly the same. That way it'll work on either padlock. Here, if the trailer hitch lock, this is going to feature a diameter of five eighths of an inch, it's going to have a usable pin length, from this point here to the curve is about four inches. Once installed, this is going to offer additional security for your towing system. It's going to be constructed with a hardened steel construction as well.
It's a nice solid seal. It's kind of got that chrome finish on it. It's going to last a long time. It's going to be resistant towards rusting, corrosion. This is designed for use with two inch by two inch hitches. Here at the lock body, it's going to feature an nice hardened steel construction with a brass tumbler inside. It's going to include that weather guard. It's going to come with two keys. These are keyed differently from the padlocks. Any of these four keys will open either padlock. Either of these two keys will unlock the lock from our pin. All you got to do is place the key in there, give it a turn, and it comes right off. Last thing I want to mention is that this is made in the USA, and the product is going to come with everything you see here on the table. You're going to get your two keyed alike padlocks, as well as the keys, and your hitch lock, as well as the keys for that. That's going to do it for today's review of the road master lock set.
