Extensive Testing
InfiniteRule products undergo extensive third-party testing to determine shear strength. The shear strength is determined by placing the locking pin in a stress position and subjecting it to increasing force until a required proof load (maximum force received without deformity) is met or the pin fails. This locking pin has a shear strength of 30,000 lbs.
The InfiniteRule locking pin is used to secure your swivel hook or shackle to your bumper mount. This allows your InfiniteRule lock to be used for towing and off-road activities such as rock crawling, mudding, and recovery. The safe working load limit is 10,000 lbs.
The flush-style design prevents the lock from being broken or pried off your swivel hook or shackle. The tapered head provides an additional layer of theft deterrence by preventing a would-be thief from being able to grip the lock with pliers or a wrench.

Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm going to take a look at the Infinite Rule seven eighths inch diameter locking pin for Roadmaster tow bar adapters. Now this locking pin will replace the standard pin on your swivel hook or shackle. This one is designed to work with the Roadmaster tow bar adapters, part number RM-035 and RM-035-1. This will secure your swivel hook or shackle to your bumper mount.
If you notice on this one, let me pull the dust cover off here, and on both ends they have the tapered flush-style head helps prevent theft. The flush style design prevents the lock from being broken or pried off your swivel hook or shackle, and the tapered head of it provides an additional layer of theft by preventing a would be fee from being able to grip the lock with fliers or a wrench.These are a durable stainless steel construction, prevents rusting, and it goes through rigorous testing to ensure locking pin can handle extreme towing and off-road activity. Now this one comes with two keys. They do offer a key to like option. If you want to match this lock with other Infinite Rule locks, you can do that.
They're sold separately, but basically the way to open this is you take your key, put it in there, and then once you get it in there, you just start twisting it like you're unscrewing it. Once you get it far enough, you'll notice it'll just come apart. Just like that. You notice it has this nice O-ring in the inside; protects the internal components from dirt and grime. When you go to put this through your adapter on, one each side, and it's the same way.
You just turn it and tighten it. Once you get it tightened, go ahead and pull your key out, and then comes with this nice weather resistant rubber tethered dust cover; keeps water and debris out of the key way, protects the lock cylinder. Just stretch that on over the head and it'll protect it.This part is made in the USA. Again, the application, this fits the Roadmaster tow bar adapters, either part number RM-035 or RM-035-1. Safe working load limit on this is 10,000 pounds.
The sheer strength is 30,000 pounds. Pin diameter is seven eighths of an inch and the inside pin length, which we measure here to here, the usable length, is going to be right at two and a quarter inches, and it is for quantity of one lock, but that should do it for the review on the Infinite Rule seven eighths inch diameter locking pin for the Roadmaster tow bar adapters.

I wish I saw or was told to get the correct length. I searched locking pins and found the ones that were for shackles and tow bars. After they arrived I found that they were longer than needed. Then I went back on your website and found the correct length (for blue ox 2-5/8). I called and was told that they would work the same and be safe. I’ll be trying them out in a few weeks.
Not necessarily a problem with the actual item, but the diameter is too large to fit the 5/8" pin-hole of my Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar and receiver hitch and I was unable to try it.
