Hi, would it be possible to instal the Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit part # FHDPB230101 right where the two parts of the Malone Ecolight trailer couple together? My idea would be to avoid making a new cut and just remove the assembly plate an install the Ulton coupler. Would this work?

Yes, the Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit part # FHDPB230101 could be installed on the tongue of the Malone EcoLight Trailer part # MAL53FR in place of the union plate that joins the two pieces of the tongue together which is pictured below. I spoke with Malone and they said this was perfectly fine and would avoid cutting into the frame.
