Those darn kids! My son is 5 and I definitely had to put a passcode on my phone lol. I have pasted the answer again below. Feel free to reach out if you need anything else!

It is possible to add a fold-away coupler hinge kit to the Malone EcoLight Sport Trailer # MAL73FR. People actually do this fairly frequently to help with storage. The Malone trailer has a 2"x3" tongue, so for that you can use the Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit for 2" x 3" Trailer Tongue # FHDPB230101.

Can the Fulton 2” x 3” folding coupler hinge be welded on? When you separate the Malone trailer tongue in two pieces by removing four bolts it leaves holes. Seems like a welder could join the two halves with a weld on coupler to avoid drilling more holes in the tongue. Is the Malone tongue made from aluminum or galvanized steel? A special TIG welder would be needed for an aluminum tongue. My kayaks are under 50 pounds each. No more than two are carried on the Malone EcoLight trailer at any given time.

@JodyF The Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit # FHDPB230101 is really only intended to be welded on. We do sell a weld-on version though. Take a look at the following: - Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit for 2" x 3" Tongue - Weld On - Up to 5,000 lbs # FHDPW230300 The tongue on the Malone trailer is galvanized steel.
