How to Lift 2021 Keystone Carbon Toy Hauler

Updated 09/12/2025 | Published 05/27/2025

Question:

I have a 5ft wheel keystone carbon toy hauler and I’m looking at what my options are in regards to lifting it up a couple inches. My truck has a 5” or so lift kit in it and at times the belly on the trailer hits the top of my trucks bed caps.

Hey Dan! First of all, do you have your 5th wheel hitch and pin box fully adjusted? Make sure your 5th wheel is on the highest setting and you drop your pin box all the way down to help with clearance. Also, I'm guessing your leaf springs are already sitting on top of the axle. If they aren't let me know and you can use an axle flip kit to raise the height of the trailer.

Outside of those options you can use the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit # RR23QX (tandem) or # RR55QX (triple axle) to raise the trailer 1-1/4" or 2-1/4". This kit basically acts as hanger extensions while also aligning your axles. The only other solution would be to cut off the existing hangers and weld on new, taller hangers to get a lift. If you go that route make sure you increase the height of all of the hangers equally.

Hey Dan, did you have a chance to adjust your 5th wheel hitch and pin box as suggested? I'm curious if that helped with the clearance issue between your trailer and truck bed caps. If you're still exploring solutions, I'm here to help!
