Features to know about

Smoother Ride on Rough Roads: Dual Air Bags Absorb Shock

Rough pavement and long hauls can make a trailer buck and bounce, but the Lippert Center Point by Trailair Air-Ride Suspension Upgrade smooths it out. It replaces standard equalizers with a dual air bag system that absorbs road shock and cuts down on fore-to-aft “chucking.” The upgrade delivers the same kind of comfort that air-ride systems bring to heavy trucks, giving your trailer a steadier, more controlled ride mile after mile.

Custom Air Pressure Control: Adjustable PSI for Different Loads

Every load tows a little differently, and this system lets you dial it in. You can set air pressure to match your trailer weight—Lippert recommends 2.5 PSI per 1,000 lbs for triple axle setups, up to a maximum of 100 PSI. Deflate the bags for unloaded towing or add pressure when fully loaded. The included gauge and manual inflation valves mount right to the frame so you can make quick adjustments whenever you need.

Bolt-On Upgrade for Triple Axle Stability: No Welding Required

The Center Point kit bolts into place using your existing hangers and requires no welding. It’s designed for triple axle trailers that use 1-3/4" wide double-eye leaf springs and center hangers at least 3" wide with 2-1/2" from the top hole to the frame. Once installed, the upgraded equalizers add about 2" of trailer height and weigh around 60 lbs total.

Built for Real-World Towing: Improved Braking and Control

When the road gets unpredictable, this air-ride suspension keeps your trailer composed. The smoother motion helps the tires stay planted during sudden stops and rough stretches, improving overall stability and braking response. With four air bag units working together, the system takes the jolt out of potholes and washboard roads so your gear—and your nerves—stay protected.

Reliable Performance Backed by Lippert Quality

The Center Point system brings proven air-ride technology to everyday towing. It’s built to handle axles rated up to 8,000 lbs each and comes with a 90-day warranty for peace of mind. Whether you tow often or full-time, this upgrade gives your suspension the comfort, control, and durability it’s been missing.

Video Transcript for Comprehensive Review: Lippert Center Point by Trailair Air-Ride Suspension Upgrade

Today we're going to take a look at the Lippert Components Center Point by Trailair Air-Ride Suspension upgrade for triple axle suspensions. Now more than 85% of all the semi tractors that are out on the road today, they do have some kind of air- ride suspension like this. So you should think that maybe your towable RV should have that same kind of suspension or ride, and the answer is yes because you can now do it affordably using this system here. This is a center point air-ride suspension system. This will add the air-ride suspension to any RV or horse trailer. It will dramatically improve the ride and towing experience with the four airbag units that'll absorb road shock and reduce four and a half trailer movement known as chucking. These dual airbags' absorption replaces your standard trailer suspension.

This one here is designed for a triple axle trailer configuration. It does improve your ride, dampens the road shock, and will even improve braking in case of emergency stop. Now to install this, you must have a double-eye spring suspension on your trailer or RV. This part does include everything laid out here on the table. It includes two of the left hand, two of the right hand side center point sub-assemblies, 16 of the shackles, 16 of the bronze bushings, 36 of the shoulder bolts, 36 of the flange nuts, two of the clamp brackets, two of the link arms, four plates right here, and then they also give you two air gauge panels, these kits here that'll show how much PSI is in your bags, and also all the hardware. Now these panels do have a gauge in these boxes here that will attach here, and then it also gives you two rolls of 24 feet, each roll of airline tubing to hook up.Now also the easiest way to determine the proper air pressure for these air springs is you want to inflate them until these plates right here on the side are parallel, or if there's about five inches of space between them.

That'll give you a good idea of what to inflate them to. And they basically estimate about five PSI per 1,000 pounds of trailer weight. But that should do it for the review. On the Lippert Components Center Point by Trailair Air-Ride Suspension upgrade for triple axle suspensions.

Adding disc breaks to my was the best upgrade I have ever made. The breaking power is fantastic, they are always in adjustment and I can stop my 36 ft 5th wheeler faster and safer with less strain on my truck.

by:

The box was ripped open and some parts are missing

by:

The product looks great. Very well built. Arrived on time. The air gauge was package with the heavy spring linkage and glass is cracked. Will add a picture. Will add a review after I get it installed. Ken

Center Point Air Suspension Upgrade performed as advertised. We have a noticeable decrease in movement of items inside our Fifth Wheel after traveling. I would recommend and would do it again.

by:

These air springs were night and day difference on our Vanleigh Beacon. We cannot recommend them enough. We bought a couple spare bags in case one blew out we would not be stranded as it might prove difficult to find them locally.

by:

Product delivered in perfect shape. Had local RV repair shop install. Thought this was doing a great job till we took a trip to AZ and I17 from Flagstaff to Camp Verde proved me wrong. We had several things broke in kitchen. Wish I would have gone with moryde IS. If you have a short trailer that doesn’t weigh over 12k empty these would probably work great. Will be going to moryde in Sept to get IS and selling mine.

by:

It did not fit my unit. It would not slide up in between the bracket on the chassis. Would have required cutting the bracket off, obtaining a different bracket and welding it in place. It's a nicely designed product and would have given it a higher review but etrailer made me pay return shipping at $129.00. This is the reason I no longer purchase from etrailer.

by:

Outer box came badly damaged but all parts their minus parts list and instructions.they where email to me immediately while I was on the phone.I install the air assist by myself on gravel with 2 bottle jacks and hand tools and torque wrench.excellent kit had everything needed.

by:

I purchased this because I needed to lift my trailer 2 inches. I know that is not the purpose of this suspension. The suspension seems okay although not a noticeable difference with my Morryde CRE3000's. It did not raise my trailer at all. Zero. Huge waist of time and money!

by:

Before purchasing and installing these we were breaking leaf springs about once a year. Since adding this package, we are doing well (and the roads have not gotten any smoother!).

by:

I absolutely love this setup, it takes almost every bump out of play when towing my 5th wheel. Speed bumps are almost non existent. I would highly recommend this product, it's well worth the investment.

by:

I had been looking at different equalizers with rubber components to give my 5th wheel a softer ride, then I seen the the Lippert center point setup, so I started watching videos of both, and after sometime thinking it over I decided to go with the Lippert center point because I used to drive a semi truck and trailer and both of them had air ride suspension, so for the money this was about as close to that setup as I could go without spending a lot more money, so for me I went with air ride 5th wheel pin box and Lippert center point suspension, I don’t have the suspension installed yet but I know it will make a lot of difference

by:

This was a 100% upgrade. The pull is better, no shifting in the fridge or pantry. Much smoother ride even if the road is rough. Took my time a day and a half installing as I did on my own without help.

by:

It was the best thing that I ever did to my trailer. The trailer road so smooth hitting bumps hitting bridge joints usually made the trailer bounce up and down, scattering stuff inside the trailer after putting on suspension everything was stacked just like I put it in after the road trip Excellence suspension would recommend to anyone

by:

I love it. I had a MorRide system installed on a previous trailer, but the Center Point system rides just as wee, if not better for a third of the price.

by:

Just installed the lippert center point and I have to say very impressed on how well it’s built. Super easy to install and I can’t wait to take it down these California roads and see how much better it rides. Installed on a 2022 jayco eagle Ht 29.5 BHDS

by:

Shipped and received as ordered and describe. Only missing 1 lock nut for bolt that went on left side to frame. Installed myself and took about 3 hrs to complete installation and run air lines and gauge. Only thing there was no installation instructions for torquing nuts. Will see how it handles Wednesday 5/30/24 on getaway trip to see Micky and Minnie. My fifth wheel is 44 ft long Forrest Glen Wildwood Heritage Glen Elite 16,000 lbs. Note: Had to modify the piece that slides up into frame mine had a reinforced piece welded inside on frame had to notch each side to slide another 1/4 “ up for blot to go though hole.

by:

Unfortunately it didn’t fit my application. But looked to be of great construction. If you have slip spring. Don’t buy it. Save everyone’s time and money because it won’t fit. If you do anyway the good people at etrailer will help you out quickly. Thanks Etrailer

by:

Very complete kit. This kit even has replacements bushing and greasable bolts for the far ends of you leaf springs. Only downfall was the shackles were bare steel. I would have like to seen these powder coated. Overall an easy install and a great kit. Now it’s time to see if it was worth the money. SUPER FAST SHIPPING AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM E-TRAILER AS ALWAYS.

Thie installed on a 2020 Momentum G Class 23G. The only modification was to turn the fresh water dump valve 45°. I will eventually replace the valve with a cable pull dump valve but this works for now.

by:

The system works well and is easy to install for any DIYer. It bolts in place simply and seems to take a lot of the shock out of the road bumps to protect my springs. The only suggestion I have is that they need to be sure to use high quality air fittings because this style is very finicky about perfect right angle cuts and I had to hunt down some very minor but annoying leaks. Also, the system comes in one box that is EXTREMELY heavy and doesn't ship well. They'd be better shipping it in 3 separate boxes.

by:

I like the units and the Esey instating

by:

Fantastic suspension upgrades! I will definitely install again on my next RV! I have towed my 5th wheel toyhauler about 15K miles all around the US over really rough roads and this system has work very well.

It has been great. Really smooths the ride out and it really helping on the terrible roads we have in Colorado.

by:

Everything Arrived on time but one box badly damaged from shipping but everything looked ok only missing one nylon lock nut.
Thanks great service

by:

The reason for the average rating is the shipping of the parts. E-trailer needs to change how these heavy parts are shipped. A cardboard box doesn't work. You can not depend on UPS or FEDEX to handle shipments with care. They think "Fragile" is a french word for throw and if the box is heavy it will get abused for sure. E-trailer was helpful with getting my parts that were missing from the busted up boxes but it was slow moving.
Now as for the parts, ( Not E-trailers fault)The ones that were laser cut needed work so we could get the shoulder bolts through the holes. One of the brackets was welded crooked.I am fortunate since I have a laser and deal with this everyday.
I also drew and cut my own gauge plate so I could mount both gauges to one plate. I appreciate all that were involved just hope you make changes to how these parts are shipped. I would recommend wooden crates and LTL shipping.
Tested the bags overnight and no leaks. Cant wait to see how my fifth wheelpulls and I hope I dont have screws and trim falling off my walls any longer!!! Ha HA

  • How Does Lippert Center Point Air Ride Trailer Suspension Install and Can it be Used on 21k Trailer
I spoke with my contact at Lippert and he informed me that the Center Point part # LC1565391 will support a 21,000 lb trailer. That being said, since you have a triple axle trailer you would want the part # LC1565401 instead. Bag failure is extremely unlikely but if it were to fail you would still be able to travel. I attached a couple pictures that detail the installation. It basically just replaces you current equalizers and shackles. They attach to your hangers and then directly to...

  • Questions About The Lippert Center Point System - How Much PSI Per 1,000 lbs?
Hello Glenn, thanks for reaching out. The Lippert Center Point System # LC1565401 is designed to work on triple axle trailers with axles rated up to 8,000 lbs each. According to Lippert, the system does not have a specific GVWR as long as your axles are rated for 8K or less. We have also double checked directly with the techs at Lippert regarding the PSI question. The recommendation directly from them is 5 PSI for every 1,000 lbs. The maximum is 100 PSI but you really should never be...
