Which Roadmaster Base Plate Kit Fits 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Lower Shutters

Question:

I am currently trying to install the roadmaster towbar mounting kit 521464-5 on my 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. The video I watched shows a 2024 JGC. I have what appear to be adjustable air dampers in front of the radiator that will not allow the baseplate to mount without spacers between the frame and the baseplate mounting flanges. Do you have spacers for this or do I have the wrong kit?

Hey Bob, looks like you ordered the correct Roadmaster base plate kit 521464-5 which is our part # RM75GR for your 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee with lower air shutters. We do not have any spacers for this but we don't have an install video for this base plate kit so I am not sure what video you watched and whether or not it would have been an accurate guide to use.

Thanks for reminding to check the instructions. They did show how to resolve my issue. Got a new one though: The instructions for the tail light wiring (Roadmaster 152) show the diodes being wired to the brake and tail lights, but not to the turn signal lamps. No wiring is being connected to the turn signal lights. Also, since I’m wiring these diodes into a 2025 grand Cherokee summit with led lighting, I have ask if this will work right for my vehicle. @BobB Is it possible that the install instructions are showing that you are connecting to a combined taillight that has the stoplights and the turn signals on the same bulb. Does your Grand Cherokee have the Parksense? If so, the correct kit you'd need is the part # RM47ZR. I attached a link to an install video for this kit on a similar 24 Grand Cherokee for you to check out that should walk you through entire process.

@JamesonC Thanks It looks like roadmaster recommended the wrong part for me. Since I’ve already started the installation and have opened the kit I bought, is it possible to just buy the smart diodes and terminals? Thanks!
