Question:
FR42PV replaced my duo therm not sure how strong as all labels and covers were destroyed from the sun your system was easy to install everything plugged right in. But during testing off of my Firman 3300 generator, it keeps overloading the generator and kicking it to protection mode. I dont have a 30amp outlet at my home so till I can pull the unit somewhere this is my only power option to test the Furrion. Still cant figure out why it does not kick the breakers, or fuses on the 5th wheel but somehow overloads the 30 amp generator. I thought I had a wiring problem till I tried starting the fan motor on high first, then turning on the compressor at the same time as changing the fan to Low. Then it turns on and stays on. But if the compressor turns off then tries to turn back on it overloads the generator again. This is on a 2004 Jazz by Thor.

Hey Martin, so the easy solution is to install the SoftStart RV part # SSR54FR which allows your Furrion RV AC unit to kick on without the massive power draw all at the same time so your generator can keep up. It does this by having a built in capacitor as well as staggering the startup of all of the components in the AC so that the spike in power draw is spread out pretty far.
