Hey Mark, I checked with Yakima and the strap of the part # Y38CR is 14.25" from the bolt to the end of the strap. End to end it is close to about 15".

Hey Charles, the replacement straps for the Yakima OnRamp part #Y38CR that you referenced can only fit tires up to 3-1/4 inches in width so instead you'd want the Yakima FatStraps part #Y23FR which fits tires that are up to 4.5 inch in width.…
