Today we're taking a look at the replacement wheel straps for Yakima bike racks. These replace lost or damaged wheel straps on your Yakima rooftop bike rack, with standard trays. They install with the included strap brackets.It's a really nice design - it's all one piece here, and you can adjust with the included tab. So, this right here is what I'm talking about: that gray, large tab with the nice large press area. This would be installed on your bike rack, and then your wheel would sit over it.You bring this through the spokes, over the wheel, down into the area right here. And you just push it.
It kind of ratchets or secures, cinches a little bit, and then it's all the way tight. It's ready to go. When you need to release, you press on that button, pull on the strap, and that's all there is to it.Both of these are included, so you get two straps. They measure about 11 3/4" long from the mounting point to the end of the strap, and they're about 1" wide. These work great for the Yakima Steelhead, Viper, Copperhead, King Cobra, and Raptor bike racks and they're covered with a lifetime warranty.That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement wheel straps for Yakima bike racks..

Terrific fit—I use it all the time with a bike rack. Never installed the full lighting adapter because of concerns about BMW computer not accepting the external wiring. Don’t know if this is really a problem or not.
