Hey Norbert, I would strongly recommend the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED52VR for your 2021 Ford Ranger. This is a really great brake controller that is more reliable and better performing than the Curt Spectrum and it only puts a small knob on your dash. It also wires to the wires by the driver side firewall to the left of the brake pedal.

Hey Norbert, how did the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty work out on your Ranger? Did the wiring by the driver-side firewall go smoothly? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar brake controller.
