Question:

Regarding the ETBC7L [Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation], is a pin schematic/diagram available for the 7-Way Trailer connection i.e., 2 Blue = Trailer Brakes, 7 green = backup lights, 1 white = ground, etc.?

Hey John, thanks for stopping in! Did you want the wiring diagram for the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L or for a standard 7 way?

If you just need the diagram for # ETBC7L then you you'll need to wire the:

1. Yellow to 12v power,

2. Blue to the output wire on the brake controller,

3. Black to the battery,

&

4. White to the vehicle frame for the ground.

The last thing you'd need to do is connect the two 4-pole's together and you'll be good to go.

If you're looking to wire up a standard 7-way then you'll just need to:

1. Connect the Green to the tail/running lights,

2. Black to a 12V hot lead,

3. Yellow to the reverse lights,

4. Brown to right turn/stop,

5. Red to left turn/stop,

6. Blue to your brake controller,

7. White to your ground.

I've also included an FAQ that goes into this as well for you to refer to. If you have anything else I can help you with, please feel free to drop a comment and let me know!

Hey John, how did things go with wiring the ETBC7L kit? Were the color connections and diagram details clear for your setup? Your feedback could really help others working on the same upgrade.
