Question:
Hey Guys I need to install a Brake controller on a 2014 F53 chassis. It has a flat 4 factory triler plug on it. What adapter do I need to hook up a Hayes G2 brake controller or is there one? Thanks

My contact at Tekonsha didn't have any specific information about the 2014 Ford F-53 chassis. He couldn't say if it was prewired for a controller or not. If the motorhome had a 7-way trailer connector at the rear bumper, it might be prewired, but because it has a 4-pole, I'm thinking it might not be.
Your best bet would be to contact the motorhome manufacturer, who should be able to tell you if there's a brake controller installation plug under the dash.
If there is no plug under the dash, you'd install the controller by hardwiring it using our # ETBC7 install kit. The kit contains just about everything needed to install a controller, but due to a motorhome's length, you'll need around 20 feet of extra wire, which is sold by the foot as part # 10-2-1. I've linked you to a help article that explains how the # ETBC7 kit is used.
