Updated 12/30/2024 | Published 12/29/2024

Question:

I am looking to buy a top mounted ac unit for an old rv I am renovating. This is a fresh install as there was not one installed prior. It has the hole for installing, but nothing else

Hey Ryan! For a complete AC system, I recommend the Advent Air Low Profile RV Air Conditioner System w/ Start Capacitor item # ASA69YR in white or item # ASA96YR in black. These 13,500 BTU systems come with a AC unit, start capacitor, and an air distribution box with a built-in thermostat to control the fan and temperature. It also includes a wiring harness and mounting hardware to help you get it installed in your RV.

Jarred, Thanks for the reply. A couple of follow up questions, the trailer measures ~16x7x6 in feet. The trailer will be used for making and selling coffee, so the BTUs requirement may be higher than a normal trailer due to the heat from the machines. Will 13500 be sufficient? Last question, is there a model that also includes heat? The trailer will not have propane. Thanks Ryan

@RyanD You're welcome! I would jump up to the 15,000 BTU set ups if I were you. Item # ACM150C for white or item # ACM150BC for black. We do not currently have a model that includes propane driven heat but for these systems you can add a heat strip with item # ACMHD. This electric heat strip is designed to plug directly into the Advent AC units and the fan will blow air over the heater and into your RV.
