Five stars so far. I just received this and installed it over the weekend at our permanent campsite. I was replacing the stock Dometic A/C unit which would no longer cool. Installation (aside from getting up on to the roof) was dead simple. This unit is quieter than the original and cooled the inside of our trailer in no time at all. The last unit ran for six years. Time will tell how this one lasts.
It is a very good unit. I works really well. Was very simple to install and get it running. Will recommend that anyone buying this also buy the Starter kit ACMSCKIT to. it will make it so much easier on the unit and will help with the surge every time the kicks on.

This Unit has worked great in our 1998 Coachman Pop-up camper. The company was great to deal with. The package showed up damaged but the unit still going strong.
Great product great shipping came in a very timely manner
It remains to be seen as I have not unpackaged it yet. The box is a little beat up. I am hopeful it is ok, the shipping was super quick. I gave it 4 stars because other then appearance the transaction has been great. It its sound a works then 5 stars.

Super fast shipping, great price, very helpful staff. Installation was super easy. Replaced one of my original 1998 Duo Therm units with this unit. Getting the old unit unstuck was a bit of a challenge but from there it was just a matter of getting it lined up with the hole, attaching the cold control, putting the 4 bolts in, plugging it into the original connector, putting the plastic cover plate back on and turning it on! From experience I know that even the simplest of projects on an rv can snowball into a major ordeal. Without a doubt this was one of the easiest and most straightforward projects I’ve tackled. Working in 95° Oklahoma heat start to finish was under two hours and that included replacing the old foil sealing tape around the air duct. Having two strong people on top while I was inside to get it centered over the hole, getting the old unit down and the new unit up was a huge asset! I’ll be replacing the other unit sometime over the winter for sure. Just can’t think of anything negative about the whole experience.

Still running great. Took an 11 day trip this year during plus 90° temps, used it almost non stop not only while camping but while traveling down the road using the generator. Still very pleased with the purchase.
Replaced old Dometic on my pop up. Was able to plug right into existing control panel with 6 pin connector. All done within an hour
Product was exactly as described. We were able to remove the original Dometic AC unit from our 2011 Coachmen Freedom Express and put this one in its place. It was fairly easy to install and works great! The order process and shipping were easy!

Sooo I just got this ac unit today, I wanted to return it as soon as I bought it thinking I couldn’t just plug it right in and go. But when I bought it was already in shipping mode, so that’s awesome in there end. And the best part is it just arrived 2 hours ago and I already have the ac running in the camper. Wow am I amazed and thank you guys soo much! Glad I didn’t back out of it. I have a 2006 couger by keystone 34ft that had the dometic that failed. It’s only 2 hours in but I’ll see how it goes from here. I’m just really amazed on shipping and just plug it and it bam. It’s done. 5 stars all day long and I really would recommend this to anyone that has already had an older dometic that needs to be replaced, THANK YOUUUU
Ordered Advent AC, normal installation on my Class C, I was told it would be plug and play,nope! I needed the adapter plug from 6 to 9 pin. Called back to etrailer, the girl that answered the phone sighed around 7 times before she finally said nope,not in stock, Mid to end of july. So I looked it up on Amazon, found the same kit and will be here July 3rd. Hopefully my new a/c will work with the adapter. Super disappointed in this whole transaction!

2019 Forest River 22R - simple installation. Removed the old unit, new one installed same attachment points. Wiring was simple plug and play - connector was the same as factory. Unit had small dent due to shipping but was cosmetic and easily straightened. Advent model ACM135B. Hope this helps someone

When my original Dometic AC died after only a few years, the Advent unit was by far the most affordable replacement option. It is confusing to figure out whether a replacement AC will work with your control box and thermostat, but this was plug and play with my Dometic setup. The unit arrived with cosmetic damage and no instructions, but we were able to resolve those issues fairly easily. I hope this one lasts longer than my original AC.
Pleasureway motorhome. Lots of support from e-trailer and the install went well. This unit is loud. It cools the motorhome easily but could use a lower/quieter fan speed.

Working well. Install was pretty easy but you’ll need a hand for raiding it and setting the AC. I’m pleased with the purchase.
It's been a year since I installed the Advent AC and still going strong. I have 2 of them in our 5th wheel and both run great. I installed the other unit about 18 months ago. Highly recommend! And a good price!

Good unit, quick install.
Was so glad that this was plug and play. Took us just a couple hours to unhook the old and get the new one in. So happy with it so far, but hasn't been to warm to get the full effect of it.
Bought an Advent for a direct replacement for my living room a/c last year. Bedroom a/c went out this year. Have had great success with the replacement from last year. Easy plug and play installation.
As of 5/24/26 @ 15:00 hrs central time the Advent ACM135B is installed and fully operational, cooling the bedroom of my rv perfectly.
Product arrived in excellent condition with no defects. Installation was as expected. Did rent a material lift from Home Depot which made the trip to the roof much easier and safe for this old man of 75yrs.

This was a direct replacement for my 2013 Dometic AC unit right down to the 6 pin plug and the mounting bolts. It hooked up to the existing control unit without issue and runs all speeds.
The part has been great. Easy to Install. I may have missed it in the write up but it wasn't a direct fit as it needed a 9 pin to 6 pin adapter harness for my RV. Fortunately, my mobile mechanic had one in his truck so we didn't have to make on. I believe etrailer sells it for around $50.
