Question:
Hi! I have a 2024 civic hatchback sport touring. I’d like to put a hitch on it for transporting bikes. My 2020 had one, I think it was the curt hitch? And it was a perfect fit. I didn’t need to trim the bumper or anything. Just the cutout in the fascia. What is the difference between the curt and draw tite hitches? One is gloss and one isn’t, but is that it? Are there any subtle differences in build shape/fit/quality/what have you?

Hello Kade; between the Curt # C92UR and Draw-Tite # 24954 I would choose the Curt. The design and installation are virtually identical, so is the capacity. Technically they both have a glossy finish on the powder coat but Curt tends to add a thicker powder coat so it will last longer. Also, if you ever needed help or support Curt is easy to get ahold of while Draw-Tite has become difficult to reach over the last few years. Of course we also offer support but it is nice knowing you can get ahold of the manufacturer when necessary.
Minor trimming of the bumper will be required for both, along with the fascia trimming just like your last hitch. I attached some installation videos below, along with the written instructions for your reference.

Hey Kade, how did things go with the Curt hitch on your Civic hatchback? Did the trimming turn out about the same as what you did on your last one? Your update could make it easier for others comparing the Curt and Draw-Tite options.
