How to Determine Correct Galvanized Trailer Hubs For Venture VAB-2825 Boat Trailer

Hi, I have a Venture VAB 2825 Boat trailer. I would like to upgrade my hubs to galvanized. How do i know what hub to buy? Thank You

Hi Jeff,

To find the correct hubs for your Venture VAB-2825 boat trailer, you'll need to take apart your current hub assembly and look at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them.

However, if you are unable to find them, you need to use a digital caliper and measure your spindle where the bearings ride, like in the diagram I added below. I did some checking and it looks like your VAB-2825 has a 3,525 lb GVWR, so I believe you have 3,500 lb axle, so it's possible you can use the galvanized Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-545-35-G-EZ-K.

This uses inner bearing L68149 (1.378" inner diameter) and outer bearing L44649 (1.063" inner diameter), so please be sure to verify, but if that matches what you have, it's exactly what you'll need. If not, I have added a link below to our entire selection of hubs for you.
