Question:
@JerredH I got the measurements: Leaf Springs are 4-leaf, 25 1/4" eye to eye, unloaded. Axles are 4400 lb. Shackle straps are a little over 2 1/4" long hole center to hole center. (about 2.4" - maybe they are worn some?) I'm not finding the exact leaf spring replacement here (except maybe one that is pretty expensive compared to others). I do see a 25 1/4" 4-leaf spring that is for a 5000 lb axle. Would that be too stiff? Please let me know your recommendation for the leaf springs and the wet bolt upgrade kit. I'm looking at other solutions for a small lift. Perhaps a simpler "lift block kit". I see some on other sites that offer a 1" lift block with new U-bolts. I currently have about 2" from the top of the tire to the undercarriage.

Hey Phil! Thanks for getting back to me with those measurements! We have a leaf spring that is an exact replacement but I am guessing it's the pricey one you referenced. It is the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 4,400-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/4" Long item # DX95CR. This is a Dexter spring so you're going to pay a bit more for the quality that comes with that name.
If you wanted to go a little higher the TruRyde item # TRU25FR for 5,000 lbs axles wouldn't be overkill. Comparing the two though, I would go with the Dexter item # DX95CR. You'll get more life out of it and won't need to replace it as quickly.
As far as wet bolt upgrade recommendation, it's a MORryde kit all day. They are made in America and are a far superior product over the stock ones. The MORryde system replaces the plastic bushings with bronze bushings and the wet bolts have built in grease zerks that will allow you to grease the bushings. The correct one for your Keystone Cougar is the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers item # MR46ZR.
Can't speak to the lifting blocks as that is not something we sell. I do recommend you verify that using them does not void any warranties. 2" is a bit short I will say. We recommend 3" - 4" minimum. The Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit item # RR23QX is the only option I have for you.

Hey Phil, how did things turn out with the Dexter leaf springs and the MORryde wet bolt kit for your Cougar? Did the setup give you the ride and lift you were hoping for? Your update could make it easier for the next person working on a similar suspension upgrade.
