Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look at this Lippert U-bolt and nut kit with the included tie plates for 8,000-pound trailer axles that are three-inch round. So folks, a U-bolt kit like this is gonna secure the leaf springs to the trailer axle assembly. And again, this is compatible with two-inch wide slipper springs and a 1 3/4-inch wide double-eye springs. And the contents here, you're gonna get the four U-bolts, you're gonna get both tie plates here, all the nuts made to hold everything in place. Now everything here on these threads are fine threads, so that means they're gonna hold stronger.
They're gonna be a steel construction, but as you can see, they got a yellowish color. That's a zinc coating and that's gonna help resist rust and corrosion along with the black powder-coat finish on the tie plates as well. Now these are gonna work with three-inch round axles. They're about 7 1/4 inches long overall. The 9/16-inch thread is the size of that.
