Question:
How much do springs actually flex? Given correct weight is on the axles rating. I want to install my axles above the springs but they are within a few inches of the frame. How much clearance is needed between axle and frame?

We usually tell people to look for about 3 inches of clearance to account for the total travel capabilities of trailer suspension. If you have less than 3 inches you might be able to compensate by using slightly longer shackle straps. I have included a link to the shackle straps we carry.
