Question:

Hi, I have a 3 tandem axle under a 1 3/4 wide springs and Im looking for a 2 block kit to raise my 5th wheel. It will require 8 upgraded u bolts also. Do you have kits for this DIY project? Thanks Rick

Hey Rick. We have two options to lift a 5th wheel trailer depending on the orientation of your axle and how it's mounted to the leaf springs. Don't have anything with blocks like that. How long of a U-Bolt would you need?

If your springs are below your axles you will want to use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit item # K71-385-00. This kit work by moving your axle below your springs and give you a lift equivalent to your axle's diameter and the thickness of your leaf spring's spring pack. These are sold individually so you'll need one per axle. Please note this will only work with 3" diameter axles.

If your axles are already below your leaf springs our only option is the Correct Track Trailer Alignment and Lift Kit item # RR55QX. This kit mounts to your spring hangers and moves the attachment point down 2-1/4", giving you a 2-1/4" lift.

What size axles does your 5th wheel trailer have and are the springs above or below them?

Thanks my axles are already below the leaf springs that's why I was thinking i needed something to be put between the springs and axle to equal out my ride. As of right now hooked to my truck it is almost 7" different in height from the front to the back measuring from the ground to the I beam that runs the length of my 5th wheel. Trying not to spend $4000 +/- tearing the underbelly out and having a bunch of structural steel added to reconnect everything. I was hoping to get a fix of something that would lift the springs from the axles to get at least half the difference in height to better the situation. I have not thought of the bracket to lower the springs as I know the factory support is welded to the frame then the springs are connected with 1 bolt and adding a hanger to the one bolt and lowering the springs to the lower bolt would you not get a bunch of back and forth movement?

@RickE You're welcome! No, the Correct Track item # RR55QX does not generate a bunch of movement in your suspension. They actually help with the geometry of your suspension and stabilizing it.

@JerredH Thanks again and in review I crawled under my trailer and it looks like this Correct Track system will work for me. Couple questions 1) if i use the lower bolt holes dropping 2 1/4" does this mean it would change the front to back dimension about 4" total? 2) between the wheels there is a Ride Armour equalizer connected to the frame with the same bracket as the ends. so is this why I need the #RR55QX so there is a bracket for each side to connect to as well? 3) is it wise to weld the frame brackets to the brackets in the kit once its all put together? Thanks ahead of time Rick

@Rick You're welcome! 2-1/4" of lift is the most you're going to get out of the Correct Track item # RR55QX when you use the lower bolt holes. You can play with the bracket positioning but you won't be able to go lower than 2-1/4" below your spring hanger's bolt holes. Yes, that is correct. The triple axle kit item # RR55QX has the additional brackets required for all three of your spring hangers front and back. It is compatible with Road Armor Equalizers. I checked with the manufacturer and they do not recommend welding on the brackets. They say to use the included hardware.
