Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this 25 and a quarter inch long 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 5,000 pound trailer axles. Now this leaf spring act as part of your trailer suspension system, provides the attachment point for your trailer's axle. This is for a quantity of one leaf spring. The number of leaves is four. The spring capacity on this spring is 2,500 pounds.
So when this is used with one on the other side, it'll meet the axle capacity of 5,000 pounds. Now the multiple leaves here allow flexibility to absorb road shock, allows for a nice smooth ride, reduces wear and tear on your trailer, and it'll ensure a level ride on bumpy and uneven surfaces. It is a sturdy steel construction. In the eyes, they do include the nylon bushings already installed. Now the premounted hangers or the aftermarket hangar kit is required for installation.
Those items we do sell separately on our website. Basically this spring will attach to a hanger mounted on a trailer frame at one end, and the other end connects to shackle straps suspended from the hanger or an equalizer. Now the length on the spring is always measured from the center of one eye to the center of the other. So if we do our tape measure center to center, it's gonna be right at 25 and a quarter inches. The width on the spring is one and three quarter inches, and the eye diameter with the bushing installed is nine sixteenths of an inch.

Springs flattened and bent backwards on first trip fishing 120 miles round trip
Purchased these 5 leaf springs to replace original set (4 leaf) on my 20 year old fifth wheel toy hauler. I went with 5 leaf because I tend to load it a bit heavy so I’m looking for support not to increase payload. Fit and finish are great plus I like the fact they are painted. Besides price I also chose these because they are apparently made in America (doesn’t say so on the springs) hence the 4stars. On my test drive after installing them I can feel stability has improved and trailer not so “hoppy”. I’ve made a few purchases from Etrailer and they never disappoint great value, fast shipping and communication!!
I ordered this spring that said it fit my 2020 Jayco trailer but it was an inch to long. Ordering and delivery time were easy to use and accurate.
The leaf spring were the correct fit for my tri axle 5th wheel RV I had to reuse my original wet bolts because ETrailer did not send the correct lock nuts with there bolts.

I purchased these because new bronze bushings were fitting very loose in my existing springs. When I removed the plastic bushings installed in the springs I found the same loose fit despite there only being about .010” difference in bushing OD. It appeared that the paint or other black substance was all that held the bushings in. Shim stock was used to take up gap with the bronze bushings.

These worked great for a beefier spring on my little trailer. With two jacks I had them installed in 45 minutes.
These appear to be quality springs. Eye holes were round and I had no problem pressing in bronze bushings. Only complaint is that they could have been packed better. My box had a large hole from the spring ends punching through it. Luckily none were lost.
Awesome one year later and no sag
A short instruction diagram could be included. A helpful hints sheet would be a nice touch for us users who don’t do this everyday.
(Just a thought.)
The springs are great and made in the USA, but unless you have the right tools and jacks, it's not a do-it-yourself job to install them.
