Question:
I need help determine replacement springs. I have a tandem axle travel trailer with Lippert 3500 axles. My current springs are 25 1/4” unloaded and 4 leafs. I would like to upgrade the leaf weight rating slightly when I replace them. I would like to stay with a 4 leaf for height purposes. What options do you suggest?

Hey Tim, thank you so much for the measurements! The next size up in a 25-1/4" leaf spring with four leafs is our Double-Eye Spring for 5,000 lbs Trailer Axles item # e44SR. This leaf spring has a 2,500 lbs capacity so it'll definitely give you some extra support but won't be too stiff or uncomfortable. They are sold individually.
When you swap out your leaf springs, you'll also want to switch out your hardware as those suspension bolts are only meant to be torqued down once. You'll want to pick a kit with the closest size to your current shackle straps.
The MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers item # MR46ZR is for 2-1/4" shackles or item # MR76ZR is for 3-1/8" shackles. These kits come with the bronze bushings, wet bolts and shackle straps.
What kind of travel trailer do you have?

Bought these leafs to replace 3500 lippert axle springs. Work wat better than 1750 per spring. Not going to wear out when camping with no hook ups having to fill water tank & other weight that would put wax. Load on springs for a time period flattening them. Ride is also alot better

These were a perfect replacement on my small dump trailer after years of abuse.

I changed from 3500#springs to 5000# springs , in the conditions I was traveling in 3500# springs would break at the eyelet for the thickness was not thick enough, not only that being a single axle it stopped most of the sway at highway speeds and also improved tire wear. I would recommend upgrading to the 5000# springs for that reason but still remember it doesn't change your load rating.
